  • 2 sessions per month (90 minutes each)

  • Practical, classroom-ready tools

  • Certificate of completion

Who is this for?

For educators who want practical change — not just theory.

ONNI for Teachers is for early childhood educators who want to:

  • strengthen play-based, child-centred pedagogy in daily practice

  • support children's emotional skills and positive behaviour

  • build calmer routines and smoother transitions

  • improve the learning environment and group management

  • feel more confident in everyday interactions with children and parents

You can join as an individual teacher — or your kindergarten can register multiple educators.

What you'll learn

A Finnish-inspired toolkit for everyday teaching

The training focuses on what matters most in early years classrooms:

Finnish pedagogy & the image of the child

Understand the Finnish view of childhood and reflect on how your own image of the child guides everyday teaching choices and interactions.

Understanding and supporting every child

Learn how to notice individual needs, strengths, and differences, and how to support children in inclusive, respectful, and responsive ways.

Motivation, joy, and meaningful learning

Explore how curiosity, intrinsic motivation, and joy support learning, and how teachers can create meaningful learning moments through play and everyday activities.

Positive group culture and inclusion

Build emotionally safe, inclusive classroom communities through routines, group dynamics, and teacher presence that support belonging for every child.

Happiness and well-being through Self-Determination Theory

Learn how autonomy, competence, and relatedness support children's happiness and well-being, and how these needs appear in daily classroom life.

Applying well-being principles in everyday teaching

Connect theory to practice by reflecting on daily interactions, routines, and teaching choices that strengthen children's well-being and your professional confidence.
